Judy LeBlanc Receives the 2022 Cleo Curtis Award

Judy was certified in 1992 and joined IADCCT and Mountain Bells Chapter in 1996. She immediately became involved in her chapter activities and attended IADCCT Convention in 1999 for the first time and every year following and she also became an ICA judge this year.

Mountain Bells was active with different fund raisers and special events with Judy participating. In 2001 with a fellow chapter member Nancy McNabb, they became joint owners of a Duncan Distributorship in Calgary. Judy and Nancy became Duncan Ambassadors in 2002. The chapter held a regional during the beginning years and again in 2007 and in 2014 a retreat. These events were drawing members from the US. Some members returning along with many new attendees.

In 2001 through 2004 Judy served as Chapter Vice-President; 2005 through 2008 she served as President; and in 2015 through 2022 has served as Treasurer and has served as the newsletter reporter for many years.

Judy served on the IADCCT board from 2013 through 2016 as Educational Showcase Chairman and 2017 through 2020 as Member at Large. Not only serving her chapter and IADCCGT through the years, she shared her teaching talent, teaching at our convention four times, at regionals and retreats and many locations within her country and ours. She hardly missed regionals or retreats in locations accessible, referring within the US. Many she was welcomed as an instructor.

Hopefully, you feel as I feel, this lady who has been dedicated to IADCCT and her local chapter for over 25 years; a friend to everyone; always ready to help; kind and pleasant to all, is so very worthy of the Cleo Curtis Award.
