INTERESTING FINISHES
Try mixing a cup of
slip with a teaspoon of vinegar and painting it on to greenware. An interesting
finish
An interesting trick
with vinegar is to mix just enough vinegar with Cover Coats underglaze
to make a thick consistency. Apply to greenware. It creates a slight raised
pattern. Great for 3-D clouds or trees
HAMMERED PEWTER
Try mixing Duncan's pewter glaze one part to two parts Raven Black Sandstar
Textured Glaze. Apply to fired 03 Bisq. This gives a lovely hammered pewter
look even though we have been told mixing these two glazes is a no-no.
SLIP FINISH
You can apply raised designs to wet greenware by using a brush, syringe
ro eye dropper filled with slip
ATTRACTIVE EDGES
Attractive edges on plates or special designs on vases are possible by
sponging or airbrushing colour through plastic doilies
