Transfer design onto your piece using clay carbon or you can also freehand your monster.

You now have two options regarding painting - you can either puddle in the color or apply 3 coats of each color. The desired effect is to have solid coverage. I puddle mine.

Apply color as noted:
Yellow to muzzle going around cheeks, nose, mouth etc.
Blue or purple to body.
Orange to hair, going around eyes and eyebrows.
A mixture of bright kelp and neon green (I used a mix of: 3 parts neon to 1 part kelp) to arms, nose, and top of eyelid.
Bright wine to mouth, fingernails and cheeks.
A drop of the wine added to the orange is great for the bottom eyelid.
Black to eyes, eyebrows and mouth-the white areas can be left as bisque or painted with white if you desire. I left mine bisque and it looks great on my plate.
Outline and detail entire design with black.

Use your imagination and detail area around your monster to your liking. Two suggestions that look great are: Zig Zag Line or Sponged Color with your chosen saying on top…We especially like "monster Munchies"!

Let Dry and glaze (I used dipping glaze) Fire to cone 06 and ENJOY!
